On May 14, 2015, 38 student designers’ collections came down the runway at the annual Academy of Art University Graduation Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony. In addition to showcasing student work, this year’s guests of honor included School of Fashion alumna Ryan Roche, the CFDA’s Executive Director, Lisa Smilor, and Senior Manager of Professional Development, Sara Kozlowski. The fashion show introduced 21 collaborative collections to some of the most influential members of the fashion world. Of these were B.F.A. students who studied Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Technical Design, Textile Design and Menswear Design. In attendance were representatives from established brands such as BCBG MAX AZARIA GROUP.
